SYNC Rocks! Professional Photography Education

SYNC Rocks! Professional Photography Education

I love professional photography; that’s not really a secret.  But what I love about photography makes most people who try it give up and throw in the towel.  It’s a frustratingly hard talent to master.  It takes time, practice and decades of constant improvement.  It takes a huge commitment to education and an eye for constantly changing styles.  The equipment changes constantly.  The methods evolve daily and it requires constant practice to stay ahead of the curve.  My business is built on constantly trying to stay ahead of the curve and the best way I found to do that is through nonstop education.

I spend hundreds of man hours every year practicing and training.  I spend thousands of dollars every year seeking out the best photographers in the world for hands on training sessions.  It’s that commitment to training and practice that has allowed me to do what I’m passionate about for a living and make a living from that passion.  So this month I have the opportunity to spend a week with 500 other photographers and industry leaders who feel the same way.

Four minute advertising video for SYNC :) Probably boring for anyone who isn't a professional photographer:)

Clare and I will be traveling this week to Destin Florida to attend a photography conference called SYNC.  SYNC is specifically devoted to senior pictures.  The photography industry's best senior portrait artists will be teaching their techniques in a hands-on environment.  There will be round table discussion about styles and trends in senior portraits as well opportunities to practice shoulder to shoulder with some of the world's best photographers.

So all week long I will be posting updates of my adventures at SYNC so that you guys can see all of the hard work and passion that it takes to create the senior pictures Troutman Photography has become known for.  I invite you to join us on a behind the scenes look at what we do to stay ahead of the curve in the senior picture market.
