Downtown Day with Nathan in Albany

Nathan was one of my very first portrait clients about 10 years ago.  His aunt has been one of the biggest fan/supporters of our little studio since day one.  Over the last decade I photographed Mr. Nathan several times and had the pleasure of watching a chubby cheeked toddler turn into the young man you see here.  I had the pleasure of connecting early on with him and he and his family are on my list of life-long friends friends.  I love it when Nathan pops in once a year for pictures, because at this point were just two friends hanging out while taking the occasional photograph.  On one of our recent photo shoots at Deepwood Estates in Salem we just decided to put down the camera and play laser tag. I lost miserably but he was pretty cool about it.  It's that kind of chill attitude that makes Nathan an absolute joy to hang out with.

Sadly Nathan will be graduating from South Salem High School soon and I have a hunch he won't be taking his favorite photographer with him to college.  While I'm thrilled to see him move forward in life I'm also bit sad that I'll miss out on our yearly visit. So Nathan when you read this - thanks for being my friend all these years.  It's been an absolute pleasure to watch you turn into an awesome young man.

PS

Nathan: I fully expect to photograph your babies when the time comes...just saying!
