Three years ago Troutman Photography was visited by a very special client.

That visit opened their eyes to a problem they didn’t know existed. The client was a high school senior raised in the foster care system. According to her foster family most foster kids lack the funding for professional senior portraits. From that point on Troutman Photography began raising money to help Willamette Valley foster kids fund their senior portraits.

This is the second year that Troutman Photography will be raising funds to provide local area foster children with High School Senior Portraits. The program’s goal is to provide a once in a lifetime senior portrait experience for up to 10 foster children per year. Each experience will be completely tailored to the individual student and will include on location or in studio photography, professional hair and makeup and a complete package of custom art products. “We are going to photograph each one of these session like we would a fashion editorial. Our goal is to give each child a completely over the top model experience and some stunning images to remember it by.” Daniel Troutman.

This year Troutman Photography will be working with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Linn County. For each $400 raised CASA will select a student to receive a custom senior portrait package created specially for them. If donations exceed the goal of $4000 they will be used to photograph deserving students in the following school year(s).

“These kids are living in less than ideal situations that they did not create, and have still managed to stay out of trouble and graduate. I think that needs to be celebrated in a really big way. That’s what this program is all about.”- Daniel Troutman.
