Our first meetup with Arica was her planning consultation. Arica is a senior with a knack for style and a love for shopping. When we landed on doing her photoshoot at the Salem Center Mall, we knew it was going to be a blast. The only thing left to do was put in a phone call to our friends at the Salem Center Mall and get permission and our photo dates set. Thanks to our good standing with the mall management and some solid insurance backup, we got the green light for urban senior pictures in no time.

We kicked off Arica’s senior photoshoot by exploring every corner of the mall, from the bustling main corridors to Arica's favorite stores like zumiez. Despite the dim lighting inside, we turned zumiez into our very own studio photography playground using studio flashes, capturing Arica's energy and vibe effortlessly. (a BIG THANKS to the staff at zumiez, you guys are great!)

Next we headed outside to grab a couple of quick pick-me-up lattes at Bentley's Coffee. We were sitting at an outdoor table midway through our drinks when the clouds parted and we were blessed  with some gorgeous natural light.   I just had Arica slide her chair back and we grabbed some really simple but elegant photos.  What says Salem Oregon Senior pictures better than an outdoor cafe?

As the day wound down and the sun dipped below the horizon,we wrapped up the photoshoot with a sense of satisfaction. It was a laid-back, stress-free day that perfectly captured Arica's personality and spirit.
