2016 Model Call

It looks like it’s that time of year again.  It’s spring cleaning here at Troutman Photography.  It’s the time of year where we retire some of our beloved pieces of artwork from past years and make room for new products and display items.  Almost all of the images we market with are from actual client sessions but every once in awhile I get an image in my head and need to create it from the ground up.  

This is one of those times.  Right now I’ve got a crystal clear image of the art pieces I want to create and the type of images I need to create for those pieces that will really make them pop.

Senior Pictures with Miss Zuzu.

First off let me start by saying I love it when high school seniors come to me and are looking for something a bit more fun than a standard senior portrait shoot.  That’s exactly what happen with Miss Zuzu.  Zuzu wanted to show off both sides of her personality.  She was looking for both elegant and slightly posh as well as showing off her tougher and more artistic side.

Monster Mash Photo Bash Food Drive

We opened the doors to Troutman Photography on Oct. 31 2009 with our fingers crossed, not knowing if anyone from our little town of 3200 people would even show up.   But within minutes our fears were put to rest as our little studio was flooded with the cutest little goblins you’ve ever seen.  That year about 100 children took part in the first annual Monster Mash Photo Bash and attendance has grown every year since.

Troutman's is Moving to Albany

Our studio will be leaving Jefferson and moving to the Flinn Block Building on First Avenue in Albany.  We have simply grown out of our little studio on Main Street and Jefferson has nowhere for us to expand into.  It truly is a bittersweet moment for us.  We are incredibly excited to move into the next phase of our business but are deeply saddened by the thought of moving our studio out of Jefferson.
